Baseball caramel card, issued about 1910 by the American Caramel Co. Features Lee Tannehill of the Chicago Nationals (he actually played for the White Sox, not the Nats.). 1953 Topps baseball card of Johnny Sain of the New York Yankees. Is no. 119 of the set, which is one of the quite scarce "single print" cards from the set. That is, in the printed sheets, this was included only once, when many others were twice in the sheet. Printed off-center, and has some corner/edge wear. 1968 Topps Baseball Game advertising piece, featuring Bert Campaneris. It was issued during the 1968 card production season (cards were issued in series all season). It was a small wax paper advertising insert used as an insert itself, usually thrown away by the collector. This one says “GREAT NEW BASEBALL PLAYING CARDS EXTRA IN NEXT SERIES TOPPS BASEBALL...... STEAL HOME WITH BERT CAMPANERIS...”. They were printed in strips containing various ads, then cut unevenly so that parts of several other ads also appear. Ad refers to their 33-card baseball game insert set issued that year (inserted in their regular wax packs). Good condition, shows some creases, very seldom seen since few were saved. Ed Mathews career for the Braves outlasted their stint in Milwaukee. Played for Boston Braves 1952; Milwaukee 1953 to 1965; and the Atlanta Braves in 1966 (played two more seasons after that, in other towns) later managed Atlanta from 1972-1974.

1966 Philadelphia Gum Football Checklist Cards. Lot consists of both checklist cards from the 1966 Philadelphia Gum Co. football card set. Cards no. 197 and 198, covers the entire set. Unchecked. It features a comical Popeye the Sailor Man football game safety tip, and a unique serial number. If the reader found his number in the newspaper, he could win up to $200 in cash.
